Understanding Terms & Conditions
Our terms and conditions are designed to outline the legal framework for engaging with our therapy services. It is important to understand that these terms and conditions establish the legal relationship between Kōrero Pono and our clients. They should be reviewed carefully to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the rights and responsibilities of both parties.
By engaging with this service, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These ensure a respectful, transparent, and professional relationship between supervisor and supervisee, mentor and mentee, or coach and client.
Key Considerations
Scope of Service
Kōrero Pono provides professional supervision, mentoring, and life coaching to individuals working in health, education, social services, and related sectors. These services aim to support reflective practice, personal and professional growth, and overall wellbeing.
Confidentiality
All sessions are confidential. Limits to confidentiality apply in situations where there is a serious and imminent risk to life or safety, or when disclosure is required by law. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.
Informed Consent
By participating in supervision, mentoring, or coaching, you acknowledge that you have been informed of the purpose of the service, the process, and the limits of confidentiality.
Session Cancellations
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full.
Fees and Payment
Fees will be confirmed before services begin. Payment is due by the 20th of the month following invoice, unless otherwise agreed. Late payment may result in services being placed on hold.
Professional Responsibility
Supervision, mentoring, and coaching do not replace clinical, legal, or psychological advice. You remain responsible for your own decisions and professional practice. These services offer space for reflection, development, and guidance, not instruction.
Online Services
Sessions may be offered online using secure platforms. You are responsible for ensuring a private, quiet space and a reliable internet connection.
Record Keeping
Brief notes may be taken to support continuity of service and accountability. These are stored securely in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.
Termination of Services
You or your supervisor, mentor, or coach may end the relationship at any time. A closing session is recommended to reflect and wrap up the process professionally.
Ethical Practice
Kōrero Pono adheres to the ethical standards of relevant professional bodies, including the New Zealand Nursing Council, the Social Workers Registration Board, and the Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Social Workers. Services are delivered with integrity, respect, and cultural responsiveness.
