Te Kaupapa o Kōrero Pono | About Kōrero Pono
Ā mātou mahi | Our work
Kōrero Pono is a professional supervision service offering a safe, dedicated space for reflection, fresh perspectives, and sustainable practices. Our approach is tailored to each person’s unique context, fostering trust, accountability, and resilience.
Grounded in Te Ao Māori, our supervision embraces a holistic view of hauora (total wellbeing) helping clients navigate the complexities of their profession with cultural safety, clarity, and confidence.
Tā mātou kitenga | Our vision
At the heart of our mahi is a commitment to both professional excellence and personal wellbeing. We believe supervision should be more than a procedural requirement; it should be a source of strength, insight, and transformation.
Tūngia te ururua, kia tupu whakaritorito te tupu o te harakeke
Clear away the undergrowth so the new shoots of the harakeke can spring up.
This whakataukī reflects our belief that when space is cleared and nurtured, people can grow to their fullest potential. Whether you’re seeking support in challenging times, expanding your skillset, or simply needing a space to exhale, we walk alongside you to help you show up fully and sustainably in your mahi.
Ā mātou uara | Our values
We uphold the highest ethical standards in all our mahi. Privacy, integrity, and respect are always protected. Our values guide how we hold space for you:
-
Pono – integrity and honesty
-
Manaakitanga – care and respect for others
-
Whanaungatanga – building meaningful connections
-
Kaitiakitanga – protecting confidentiality and trust

Tā mātou waitohu | Our logo
Designed by Keanu Townsend, this Manaia is an ancient symbol representing guidance, protection, balance, and hauora (wellbeing). With the head of a bird, the body of a human, and the tail of a whale, the Manaia can be a guardian in all realms; the sky, the land, and the sea. They watch from above, walk upon the earth, and dive to the depths of the ocean.
The lower part of the Manaia features three koru, representing the three founding members of Kōrero Pono — Janet, Brad, and Taylor.
Keanu’s artistry can be found on Facebook and Instagram under the name Keanu_Arts.
