A New Year, A New Kaupapa for Kōrero Pono

The beginning of a new year invites us to pause. It is a natural moment to reflect on where we have come from, what we are carrying, and how we want to walk forward. For us at Kōrero Pono, this year marks the beginning of something we have been holding with care for some time.
Kōrero Pono was founded out of a deep respect for the people who work in caring, complex, and often emotionally demanding roles. Nurses, educators, supervisors, community practitioners, and leaders are frequently expected to keep going, to hold others, and to manage increasing pressures with limited space to pause themselves. We believe professional supervision should be a place where that pressure can be named and gently unpacked.
At the heart of Kōrero Pono is the belief that honest conversation matters. Supervision is not about fixing or performing. It is about creating a safe, thoughtful space where reflection can happen at a pace that feels respectful and grounded. Our work is shaped by values of whanaungatanga, manaakitanga, kotahitanga, and toitūtanga, and by a commitment to culturally responsive, ethical practice.
Alongside professional supervision, Kōrero Pono also offers Life Coaching with Brad, who is a qualified Life Coach registered with ANZCAL. Life Coaching is a distinct service that supports individuals who are seeking clarity, direction, or support with life transitions, values, and goals. While different in purpose from professional supervision, it is held within the same kaupapa of respectful, honest conversation and care for hauora.
As we step into this new year, our intention is simple. We aim to offer spaces that support people to think clearly, breathe more easily, and reconnect with what matters most in their professional and personal lives. We are grateful for the trust already shown to us and we look forward to building meaningful relationships with those who choose to walk alongside Kōrero Pono.
